The article titled "Republicans seize Senate, gaining full control of Congress" discusses the flip of the Senate from a Democratic majority to a Republican majority. Some states that flipped include Iowa, Arkansas, and North Carolina. This is a major blow to the Democratic cause because both the House of Representatives and the Senate contain a Republican majority. However, it is predicted that in the next election that the Senate could flip again due to changing demographics.
I am very pleased with the results of the Senate races. I had a feeling that the Senate would be switched to a Republican majority due to many failed Democratic campaigns. This just goes to show that America is not pleased with the Obama Administration and those that were in the Legislature. This is just a prediction, but it is my opinion that the next presidential election will go to Republicans as well. America needs a change, and it starts now.
I am pleased with the outcome of the Senate race as well. What annoys me is the Democrats who are complaining that we are in a downward spiral now, but its not our fault. They don't realize that Obama has put us in this situation, not Republicans.
