The only thing that I can say about this article is wow. I find it really hard to wrap my head around the fact that and eleven year old girl could beat a two month old infant to death. The girl remains unnamed because of her age, but the details of this sickening crime was released to the media. The mother of the girl was babysitting the infant named Zuri. When the mother fell asleep her daughter went upstairs are beat the Zuri, which caused her to sustain severe injuries to her brain, spleen, and liver. Police officers responded to the call and the new born was taken to the hospital where she died.
The incident took place in Ohio and the girl was put on trial for murder. When the judge asked her if she understood the charges filed against her, she said that she did.
In my opinion this girl has to have something psychologically wrong with her. Most children this age are traumatized by their pet cat killing a bunny while it seems that murdering a human child doesn't even phase her. Her situation will likely only get worse too.

Gees!! This is crazy! I can't believe such a young girl would kill anything, let alone a baby. I agree with Ashley -- I'm sure there is something a little mentally wrong, and I wonder what they'll determine after a psych analysis, which I'm sure they'll do -- they've got to be curious too. I also wonder what her punishment will be -- can 11 year olds get life sentences? Just wow.
ReplyDeleteThis has to be the saddest blog I have read so far. Something must be seriously wrong mentally with this child because her actions seems so brutal and calculated. How do authorities handle a situation like this? Do they go to juvie or what? Its crazy to think that the rest of this girl's life (even though what she did was absolutely horrible) could be spent in a prison mental facility.
ReplyDeleteThis is terrible. I wonder if the actions of her parents had any psychological effect on her before she did this. It is especially sad that the baby who died was being babysat by someone else.
ReplyDeleteHoly crap... That's one of the most terrible things I have ever read. I too think there must be some psychological problem with the girl because no person in his right mind would ever beat an infant to death.
